The court noted that it has become common to provide incorrect information in numerous cases. The matter arose during the hearing of a bail application filed by a resident of Nuh district in Haryana in a murder case. The DSP's contradictory statements regarding the recovery of gun pellets were noticed by the complainant's counsel. The state counsel apologized on behalf of the DSP for the false information.

Ahmedabad: A case of providing false information was registered against Kishore Thakore , a 45-year-old resident of Ambawadi, for calling up the control room and falsely claiming that his brother had been kidnapped.The complaint was filed by Jagdish Jaswantbha, who stated that he was on duty on Friday when, around 2AM, the control room received a message from Kishore that his brother, Sachin, had been kidnapped near Vikas Gruh due to a minor dispute. A police vehicle was dispatched to the scene, and they found Sachin. However, after questioning him, they discovered that there had been no such incident.The complaint alleged that Kishore had called from his phone number but identified himself as someone else.
