Ahmedabad: A 25-year-old man was allegedly stabbed by an event organizer following a dispute over entering a garba venue without passes. Three men were arrested in Mumbai for attempting to enter a garba event with fake entry passes, which were being sold online for Rs 300 per day. This is the third case of fake garba passes reported in the area this month. The men had taken color photocopies of authentic passes and were caught by a volunteer at the event venue. The trio was detained by volunteers and handed over to the police. Investigations are underway to determine the source of the fake passes. Rajdip Parmar, a 25-year-old man from Ahmedabad, allegedly stabbed and slashed Ankit Desai who entered the Navratri venue without passes. The incident occurred in Chandkheda.

The accused, Rajdip Parmar, stabbed and slashed Ankit Desai who entered the Navratri venue with his friends without garba passes.Vijay Desai, 30, a resident of Jantanagar, said in his FIR with Chandkheda police on Sunday that he and Ankit were dancing at a garba in the lane near their house when they thought of going to a bigger Navratri venue. Since they were both in their traditional garba costumes, they decided to click their pictures at a more artistic venue in Jantanagar and upload them on social media.Vijay and Ankit requested one Chirag Patel, a garba organizer, if he could allow them to dance at his venue at Jantanagar. They entered with 10 others after Patel gave his go-ahead.As soon as they entered the venue, Parmar came up to them and asked them why they had entered without passes.According to the FIR, despite being told that Patel had given them permission to perform garba at the venue, Parmar began abusing them. Other revellers intervened and pacified Parmar and everyone went back to performing garba, convinced that the matter had been laid to rest.However, after a while, Parmar again came up to them and began slashing and stabbing Ankit on his head, shoulder and wrist, the complaint states.Ankit fainted and was rushed to a nearby private hospital.
